By far the best bluebell picture I have seen this year Rosa. The mist softens the scene beautifully and has a distinctly blue tint to add to the atmosphere. Magnificent!!

Bluebells are so difficult to photograph I find but you've really nailed it here. We're well off for bluebells around here and I've often been in Galloway where the woods are spectacular but I've never yet had a photograph as good as this one.

They really are Jean. I find they never look as stunning as when you are stood amongst them or seeing them as you walk through a wood. I have never been able to get such an atmospheric picture of bluebells ever since. This picture was actually used in a calendar produced by a family run supermarket in Stalbridge, Dorset. I got a bottle of champagne, a tin of Roses and three calendars ;-))

I don't know if you get The One Show in Scotland Jean, but the supermarket, called Dikes is on that news programme next week along with Sturminster Newton Mill, which has gone back into production of flour and supplying some local shops. I don't know which night it's on though. I don't think they do either yet.

A superb image Rosalyn, it's well managed wood no rubbish undergrowth and well spaced trees
the one at Groby is Woodland Trust it's full of brambles self set trees and nurse trees that were not removed from the Forestry Commission days, unfortunately The National Forest ends a few miles away
