A beautiful composition Rosa............the wall, gate and then the fence draw the eye nicely through the landscape. I like the light and the dappled shadows and the fresh green of the grass and leaves.

I also like the image in the PiP...............such an amazing contrast, even though you can easily see it's the same view. The lack of leaves on the trees and the covering of snow makes such a difference. I love the muted colours too.

A very nice pair of picture, which I like a lot. Great to see the difference!

I do like the composition here, the open gate welcomes you, and invites you to go forward along the lane.. And the gate construction is unusual too. I don't think I have ever seen one like that before!

Thank you very much. The driveway leads to Bayford Lodge, which is very interesting from the back, and where a public footpath runs. I expect the old Colonel who lived there for many years chose the nice gate.

Belated HFF dear Rosa...and although I don´t like winter, the photo with snow is my favourite one! It has a special kind of melancholy and I love the silhouettes of the trees!
