Apple Blossom

A beautiful series. My crab apple is just beginning to flower but I think your blossom is prettier. The pink is stronger in the buds and makes for a lovely contrast with the open flowers.

Thank you Jean. My tree does have lovely deep pink buds, but I can't remember what the apple is called unfortunately. My old mother-in-law used to make crab apple jelly....do you?

I'm afraid not. The apples look lovely. They are bright red and just over cherry size but the taste isn't good. I leave them to fall to the ground and somebody eats them so they are of use.

Fresh and beautiful... fruits for next winter!

A gorgeous trio of apple blossom images Rosa...........you're captured them beautifully with clever use of depth of field. I love the vibrant colours. The first image is my favourite of the three.

The blossom on my two apple trees took a bit of a battering during the rain we had, as did some of the flowers in the garden. Luckily I got some shots before the rain, which I've yet to post.

Yes get posting Amelia ;-)) These aren't crab apples but I cannot remember what they are called. Last year was not a good crop but they were very sweet and juicy.
