i'm always fascinated how this type of photo works. the slight out of focus of the main subjects taking control over the photo even though the backgrounds are sharp. quite intriguing.

An interesting question, Laura. This was an experiment that I haven't repeated but may try again given your point. I did crop this to get bearer to the people and to get a rudimentary arc in the line of heads.
