Building a new crystall tower?
A certain kind of emptiness in that picture - the two and a half humans in it just disturbing ...
Good work.

A tower, but not a glass one, Leon. It's still not finished. Work didn't start till a few years after this was taken. It did look desolate for a few years.

A fascinating view of this demolition site..............I like that the view is visible to the public as well, here in England it would normally have a solid fence around it so you can't see what's going on!

I really like the detail you've captured including the remains of the street art (how did they get up there?), and the remains of the painted wall sign. I like the chained up bicycle too.

Thanks, Keith. Toronto tagging crews are disgustingly intrepid. While I was living there the DMC crew got on top of a three-storey building near where I lived and painted a two-storey high DMC badge on the building next door. It was impressive work, but the building's owners had to pay to remove it (a local by-law). Taggers have defaced much of the city. At least the notorious Spud has fled town to escape prosecution. His crew would tag anything -- inside the hoppers of mailboxes, for example.

The first Chinatown, too, Léopold. Thereès still a CHinese restaurant on this stretch, though, or at least there was when I left Toronto.

Thanks, José. I may have some other postable photos of this lot during its long wait to be built on.
