1754 Eulithis prunata (Phoenix)

1754 Eulithis prunata (Phoenix)
Geometridae, Larentiinae - Wingspan: 34-38mm.

A common larger species throughout the UK. Although generally more common in the east of Cornwall, it can be seen usually associated with gardens and woodland. It is similarly marked to other species, but it is larger and easily determined with the broader wings and prominent wavy-edged banding crossing the fore-wings.

In Cornwall, the flight season ranges from late May to August, peaking in July. Usually only a single specimen is seen in observations.
