1734 Scotopteryx luridata (July Belle)
Geometridae, Larentiinae - Wingspan: 30-38mm.
A similar common species to 1733 S. mucronata, but can be differentiated by the single round spot set in the mid-forewing central band, whereas 1733 has two close spots which usually form a tear-shape. The July Belle flies slightly later in the year than the Lead Belle, peaking in late June and through July into early August. Similar to the preceding species, the distribution is more to the west of the county.
