Gare de Nice-Ville (5) - 10 Septembre 2013

To complement my earlier photographs from Ventimiglia, I visited Nice-Ville. France was in the grip of (another) national strike but SNCF had guaranteed a modified service. However, several units were standing idle at what, I imagine, would normally have been a much busier scene. On the right, is a Class Z 26500 unit and on the left are Class Z 23500 units. The graffiti on the latter were obvious and a closer inspection of units reveals tired interiors with dusty looking and worn seats. On some cars, there is evidence of damage to paintwork caused, it appears, by attempts to remove graffiti. I was pleased with this shot and have also produced a b&w version.
