With the rise of the mobile phone, telephone booths or kiosks are no longer popular and can be seen in varying states of repair in many countries. This is at Budapest Keleti Station. 200_3_P1070605

A contemplative moment near a Gosport park on a Sunday morning. I love the sign which, for me, makes the composition. 200_3_P1030592M

For one normally obsessed with verticals, this piece of street photography cum art is a bold departure. A Damascene conversion perhaps? This is the first image in a short series which conveniently imagines a street performer as Saul confronted by a vision of his distant future. 200_2_P1090619C

Brouillard en Noir et Blanc - 28 Septembre 2014

28 Nov 2014 2 173
The Miroir d'eau (Water Mirror) in Bordeaux is the world's largest reflecting pool. Covered in 2cm of water, in summer it creates a fog every 15 minutes. This is a source of fascination and amusement to both locals and visitors. One woman apparently found it a sensory experience. A short distance away, a couple struck ballet poses for a photographer in the rising, swirling fog. The pictures, I imagine, were remarkable. 200_2_P1000680M

A Comment on Fashion - 23 October 2014

24 Oct 2014 177
This is street photography - the TZ30 is an ideal tool - and an irresistible opportunity to comment on the fashion world. A walk through Toronto's streets for dinner, an unexpected encounter with a cameo from World Mastercard Fashion Week in David Pecaut Square. The professional photographers in front of the models with their Dufferin Mall mini-placards, the amateurs, like me, scattered around. The widest subject in the line up ........a lamp post. The Artist - 11 October 2013

11 Oct 2013 126
I am not known for my candids but , when one presents itself to me, my camera is ready. I was preoccupied with buses and trains but not to the extent that I missed the sight of this woman walking in Eastleigh with what was probably her art and having a rather hard time in the wind. I have worked on the contrast in this image in order to accentuate the colours of her proudly borne load. P1180902
