The Ebony Jewelwing is a damselfly. Damselflies are closely related to dragonflies and they look very much alike. The easiest way to tell dragonflies and damselflies apart is to look at the wings. Dragonfly wings stick straight out from the body when the dragonfly is resting. Damselfly wings usually fold back above the body.
Ebony Jewelwings grow up to two inches long. Males are larger and have a big black head, green body, and black wings. Females also have black wings, but they have a lighter colored body. They also have a white spot on their wings.

Waldgeist - Forest Guardian
The term Waldgeist is German for ‘woodland spirit’, believed by ancient pagans to be the custodians of the forest. The Waldgeist spirit was thought to live in the forest and be the protector of those with 'pure spirit' who entered the forest.
While rarely spotted by the eye, many report hearing mischievous mutterings, feeling their cool breath on the neck or shoulder, or sensing a silent, powerful presence surrounding them on all sides..

The Supplicants
Teasel buds, hurling frantic prayers toward the summer skies. A small swarm of insects hover over them like incense. The teasel itself got its name from that the flower heads were used to tease out the wool before spinning (carding).
