Hi Rosa I think you have a red deer stag in your main shot, not sure as to the hind, I used to ge the same problem at Richmond Park where both Fallow and Red Deer roam free. Please feel free to delete this. All the best ~ Nick

Hi Nick, I did question it myself but was told by an estate worker planting trees that they only have fallow deer in the park, which is well contained. The doe in this shot is the same one as in this link.....https://www.ipernity.com/doc/rjh/51966858, and the same buck is in the picture beneath it. I appreciate your message and I had the same when I showed the pic's on Facebook :-)

A fantastic little series Rosa.............you've become a very successful deer stalker..........you should get a hat to match :-))

Your main image is nicely composed and the deer are cooperating with these lovely poses. They seem well aware of your presence. I note the backside of another deer just disappearing into the underground though.

A smashing series of PiPs too..........I particularly like the one with the fawn.

Ha ha, not sure the hat would suit me Keith! I was quite a distance away, so I was quite pleased with these shots. The only problem was I could use the viewfinder on this camera with my glasses on, so just had to view from the back monitor, which I don't really like.

Preciosas imágenes del gamo común europeo [Dama dama] que es un cérvido. Se diferencia del ciervo común en su menor tamaño (machos adultos: gamo >65kg; ciervo >200kg) y las astas en el gamo son palmeadas. En la foto las tiene de terciopelo porque se fotografió en junio. Mayoría de cérvidos pierden su cornamenta a finales de marzo, en la foto renovando.

Thank you very much Jose Manuel. As there was some confusion on the breed, I thought I would just use the general term of 'Deer'. I am no expert, but I was told there were only fallow deer on the estate. I would love to see some red deer and I think there are some on Exmoor, which is a beautiful region of the south west of England.

We haven't seen the deer at Attingham Park for ages. They did the usual cull in December through to February, and then the herd was infected with bovine TB, which led to a dramatic cull, and lots of no go areas in the park.. We hope to see something nice like this soon.

The same thing happened to the beautiful deer they had at Dyrham Park, which is a NT property near Bath. Such a shame.
