Yes, I have to say that I was more familiar with the name concerning sewing machines, but I did recognise this logo straight away, so must have seen it on some cycles.

I, too, thought he was the Singer of the vaunted sewing machine fame. I have inherited my Grandmother's old trundle sewing machine, but I'm certain she never had a motorcycle. So, wrong Singer.

It is an easy mistake to make. I also thought I was going to read about sewing machines! My first machine was a Singer but now I have a Husqvarna, which does sound like a motorcycle!

My late mother had a Husqvarna and it's still around my house somewhere. She had a Singer, then the Husqvarna. What a coincidence!
