Das ist ja echt schön,wie diese Blüten die gesunde Blüte in die Mitte genommen haben und sie wärmen,einen wunderschönen Anblick hast du da fotografiert liebe Rosa,man erfreut sich immer über diese Blüten :))

I love this sort of shot Rosa..........there is a real beauty in fading flowers that often gets missed.

I really like the detail and colour in this one.......and the light on the flowers is gorgeous. The frame works very well too.

We didn't get round to going anywhere today, we've been immersed in the TV coverage of the sad death of the Queen, the proclamation of the new King and all the things that have to happen before the state funeral. Some of it is absolutely fascinating. I feel quite sorry for Charles, he has all this stuff to do when I bet all he really wants to do is mourn the loss of his mother.

Thank you very much. That is the case with many flowers isn't it! My poor hydrangeas will not be looking so good this autumn though.

I have watched a lot of it as well Keith. It is a tradition that none of us have seen in our lifetime, as our Queen had reigned for so long. I also felt sorry for Charles. I know how I felt after my mum died and there was so much to arrange, and that was nothing to what he has to go through. It was lovely to see him shake hands with so many people outside the Palace. I have a friend who lives on a Duchy of Cornwall farm and she said he is so down to earth when he visits them, sitting in the kitchen and chatting just like anyone else.

Hermosas rosas. Me gustan la luz, los colores, el bokeh...En mi ignorancia me sorprende que de un mismo tallo florezcan rosas de distinto aspecto. Las tintadas como manchas de vino parece que salpicaran el vino a las que están bajo la rosa amarilla. Leo que las rosas inglesas son un objeto de culto entre aficionados a las rosas, son la “creme de la creme” de las flores y de todo jardín... Rosa, te deseo un domingo tranquilo sobrellevando los vaivenes de este tiempo tan convulso que parece una montaña rusa.

It is a floribunda rose, so clusters grow on one stem. I love the way they change colour as they age. Now all the petals around the new roses have fallen. I got this picture just in time!

I think it is possibly the end for this particular rose, until next year Peter. It has really suffered. I think I will cut it back very soon. Sophie has been here for the weekend, so it has been very nice .

Faded yes, but they still hold their beauty!

These roses huddled together seem to be accompanying each other in the decline and, as you say, holding on so that youngsters and buds are protected. Their colours remain delightful, and you show them at their best in a lovely bokeh and softest texture, really.
