Old Morris
Three photos I took in Ashmore, Dorset in May this year. The Morris van I was told is from 1963. The second picture shows signs for a vending machine opened in 2020 during the lockdown, but is still used now, so a permanent feature I think. The third picture is the garden wall near the vending machine building that I thought looked pretty.

Rosalyn Hilborne club has replied to Peter Castell clubGood night.
Rosalyn Hilborne club has replied to Pam J clubIn the original vehicle registration number system most major towns and cities, counties too, had their own specific series of letters for the number plates they issued. The ‘RN’ series was issued in Preston, Lancashire. The system started with the issue of RN 1-9999 continuing with ARN 1-999, BRN 1-999 etc.
SRN was issued circa late 1962 into 1963. SRN 375 was assigned to a bus operated by Preston Corporation in December 1962 and SRN 840 to a coach operated by Premier Coaches of Preston in March 1963.
So, Rosa the date you were given regarding the age of the van sounds most authentic and would have been just a normal standard series issue.
Have a good day.
