Marjory and Phyllis tempted by vendors of snacks at a Swiss station - 1920s

Uploaded to add the the Vintage Photos Theme Park - Milkmen or milk women or.......... food deliveries theme - slightly off theme but it seems to be the best I can offer.
Although it doesn't seem to be at a station (and it certainly isn't a home delivery) there is a second photo on the platform, with the younger vendor serving an older lady, beside the train.

This part of the family were quite adventurous and keen photographers so we have quite a lot of lovely little scenes - especially picnics.

Interesting! I wonder what kind of snacks they had to pick from.

I have assumed that they were snacks in the little baskets as they were on sale, to travellers, at the station. Elsewhere they might have been souvenirs I suppose. The darker objects look even more mysterious. They almost look plant-like.

Charming photo, Phil. I'd love to see what's in those little baskets.
