Winter Sun 24-1-13

Winter Sun 24-1-13
I love Winter trees and how they define the "bones" of the landscape. This beautiful sky pre-empted a snowfall.

Doug Shepherd, Marco F. Delminho, David Michael, raingirl and 15 other people have particularly liked this photo

Love this, Pam!! I call them "tree skeletons"! :D They are beautiful though, I love them as much as you do. Such wonderful silhouettes they make.

LOL, I LOVED the name you chose for the orbweaver!! :D It will be fun to choose her name in a couple of days!

Thankyou Janet ! I am a Winter person. We lost prime trees in the awful drought... this is the "daughter" tree of the Black Walnut we have lost to the drought.

I love to see the "bones" of the landscape.... trees in winter... hedges.. drystone walls... that are what Nature uses to drape the landscape upon.

Terrific capture, both of the tree and the moon behind.

Thankyou Esther.

I still love this photo and its sad to say that the tree died because of the dreadful drought years that caught up with it. About 12 feet of the stump trunk is left but that will go one day.

I love this photo. I felt it was the moon - no matter, a celestial object bringing us joy. That it is in color but has basically no color is very appealing with the subject.

I'd love to have this in my group 'naturey crap - crappy nature' (name explained on group page) - if you feel like it.

Found and enjoyed in your album "The Photos I Love"

Thankyou Laura !

Even more evocative now as that beautiful tree succumbed to the drought and is no more except about 15 feet of trunk. We miss her

I would be honoured.. I will find the group
