I thought you might recognise this fly Güni.............and glad you like my photos of it. I'd never seen this variety before so I had so spend a bit of time identifying it.

There are hundred of thousands types of fly Roger..........do identification can be difficult. I just look online for UK fly images and hope for the best :-))). This one was quite unusual looking so I found it fairly easily, but most are so similar to each other that it becomes impossible.

I've never seen this fly, it looks a bit nasty and is well named. Wonderful macro shots in the PiPs, Keitj
