It's a slice of a large red cabbage head.........spot on guess Güni.........and we had some for dinner after the photo was taken and it was lovely. My wife will probably make some coleslaw as well.

This particular shot has been on my "to do" list for a while, so I'm glad you like it. Thanks so much for your kind comments.

Great stuff Keith, without the colour version to provide more of a clue, I would struggle to identify the subject of your photo. B&W version works best for me.

Fantastic! The bw makes it look very abstract though I also like the colour version. And I guessed what it was at first sight;-) I suspect people who dom't cook from scratch will have trouble....

I thought people might have trouble figuring out what it was, which is why I included the colour version in the PiP, and added obvious clues in the key words :-))

Ein glatter Schnitt in der Mitte. Ich denke, ich hätte es auch nur in der s-w Version erkannt. Finde ich cool! Farbig gefällt mir das auch sehr gut, weil es wunderbar freigestellt ist. :-))

Und ich hab' mich nicht von Deinem Irrgarten in die Irre führen lassen! ;-)
