The background is simply a piece of yellow card bought from a nearby arts and crafts store. I have built up quite a selection of them.

I also collect unwanted rolls of wallpaper from charity shops, when I think they might make a good background and also rolls of wrapping paper.

That's exactly what I thought when I found the vase in a charity shop. It's one of the few I've not donated back to the shop after taking a photo. This is about the 4th time I've used it.
