As I look from my window now, the cotoneaster by the side of it is bare of leaves and only has shrivelled berries left, so it is good to see this one in superb detail and colour in September.

The only other berries I have left in he garden are from a Stinking Iris. I may post a photo of them soon.

This is a great picture here of the cotoneaster berries. The plant looks very healthy as do the berries. I remember when I was a young girl, I read this word as "cotton easter"!!!! My mum wouldn't let me ever forget it!!!

Thank you. The berries are definitely not good for you. They are poisonous in large amounts and may cause trouble breathing, weakness and seizures.
