what a charming building. Are there local specialty varieties?

I don't know Coli, but I would have thought so. I'll have a look next time I visit! Glad you like the shot.

That is so picturesque Keith! I love a walled garden and this building makes it even more special. A superb shot.

Was für ein uriges Gebäude! Das Reetdach und der rankende Wein geben dem Häuschen einen besonderen Charakter. Ich kann mir aber nicht vorstellen, dass dort iPhones gelagert werden ;-)

Beautiful capture from a rather lovely walled garden and like the superbly thatched roof, do I assume this was originally a summer house Keith?

As far as I know it has always been an integral part of the walled garden..............I don't know whether it's always been an apple store though.

Glad you like it.

As Annemarie said...same for me! Do you mean apples for eating? This little building looks like an African rondelle hut, but fancier. A very inviting photo, Keith.

Yes, it's all fitted out with wooden shelving to store the apples on. It stays pretty cool inside apparently regardless of the temperature outside, so perfect for the job.

Oh my, what a gorgeous find, Keith! So much to love. The architecture/shape are so pleasing. The thatched roof is marvelous. The incredible texture of the walls and window frames makes me yearn to touch and then to take macros! The surrounds in which this delightful building is nestled are beautifully verdant and wonderful to see. The path pulls you right into the picture. MARVELOUS!!

So happy you enjoyed my shell series and that it has you thinking about pictures for yourself...definitely dive in for that fun experience! You'll find a never-ending pile of pictures that captivate and delight you! :) To be honest, I basically did a "spill" on the shells...propped a couple up to let the sun shine through the shells but otherwise, just thoughtful clicks. Add some planning and you'll have to be dragged away from all of the amazing photography that shells bring to the game! :) LOVE THEM! :)

Just letting you know that today is a travel day and then we'll be off for 10 days--I may not be able to comment depending on the connection or lack thereof! :D You'll be in my thoughts! :)

How charming and pretty this is Keith - it reminds me of a little toll house, but in an attractive garden setting I love the roof . Beautifully captured. Congrats on Explore
