Freebird & pip
The wooden trawler "Freebird" under extensive overhaul at Alexander Noble & Sons Limited, Girvan, Scotland, Unable to find any information on the trawler so she may have had a name change.
The River in the foreground is "Girvan Water" and the image is taken form a pontoon adjacent to the Lifeboat Station.
HFF and a good weekend to everyone.
A large view may be better and see pip for a closer view.

Roger (Grisly) club has replied to Stefani Wehner clubRoger (Grisly) club has replied to ©UdoSm clubHFF and a PEACEful future.
They did their rounds between Seixal/Lisbon and Madeira.leaving at 9.00PM and coming back in the early morning of the third day to Lisbon
Very similar to the Freebird albeit older, none was more than 60 GRT tonnes, and they sold all their catch in Lisbon for its markets.
It is nostalgie pure and simple what I see here.
Thank you.
Roger (Grisly) club has replied to J. Gafarot clubTimes change not always for the better but the industry is safer these days.
No radio, no radar, no deptfinder . . .
Just let me say it, too, the good captains were valued persons . . . of course.

Roger (Grisly) club has replied to beverleyRoger (Grisly) club has replied to Valeriane ♫ ♫ ♫¨* clubRoger (Grisly) club has replied to Schussentäler clubLove these two beautifully detailed shots of her though........especially the close up view in the PiP. Whatever they're doing to her look like it's going to be hard graft!
Roger (Grisly) club has replied to Keith Burton clubWhatever has happened to her a name change is likely but what a project a houseboat would be.
It may be a boat yard project when nothing else is on the ramp because on a return visit another trawler had been pulled up behind her and work diverted to the newcomer.
Keith Burton club has replied to Roger (Grisly) clubI wouldn't mind a look at it when they're finished, I might keep having the odd look on their Facebook page.
Roger (Grisly) club has replied to Keith Burton clubI did look to see if Girvan had a web cam but nothing doing
