On board preserved former Midland Red 5424 (EHA 424D). Midland Red, originally more formally titled the Birmingham and Midland Motor Omnibus Company Limited (BMMO) before adopting Midland Red Omnibus Company Limited as its title, was perhaps the largest bus operator in provincial England. It built most of its own chassis too and 5424 is a Willowbrook bodied BMMO D9 that had been new in April 1966.
