Acadian Lines 118 at Canso Causeway - 8 Sep 1992 (Ref 175-02)

Acadian Lines 118 at Canso Causeway - 8 Sep 1992 (Ref 175-02)
Tuesday 8 September 1992 (approx. 1635) - Acadian Lines 118 seen leaving the swing bridge forming part of the Canso Causeway – the link between mainland Nova Scotia and Cape Breton Island that carries Highway 104 (the eastern end of the Trans-Canada Highway) and the parallel rail link. It is a 1989 MCI MC9 Crusader that was heading eastbound to Sydney on the 1300 Express service from Halifax and the same coach I travelled on the previous day (0800 Halifax-Sydney). The photograph was taken from the front passenger seat of coach was number 919, an MCI MC8 Crusader, working the 1415 ‘all stops’ service from Sydney to Halifax trip 54 – a journey of approx. 270 miles taking 7 hours 35 minutes. (Ref 175-02)
