Every year this tree blooms and perfumes the whole street, it's a real splendour.

DIE MIMOSENZEIT IST WIEDER DA. Jedes Jahr blüht dieser Baum und "betäubt" die ganze Strasse mit seinem Duft, eine wahre Pracht.

Was man unter "Winter" versteht (so richtig kalt mit Schnee und Eis) haben wir hier nicht (oder ganz selten), aber dafür ist es im Sommer meistens nicht so heiss wie bei euch in Deutschland. Dieses Klima kennst du ja bestimmt von deinen Bretagne-Urlauben... Ich wünsche dir wenigstens ein sonniges Wochenende ☼

Nachdem die Winterlinge bei uns schon Ende Dezember geblüht haben ist nichts Neues dazu gekommen, denn der Winter hat wieder Einzug gehalten. Übersteht die Mimose eigentlich Frostperioden? Das ist wirklich eine bezaubernde Blütenpracht!

Danke Karsten. Es gibt auch bei den Mimosen "winterharte" Sorten, die eine Frostnacht mal überstehen können, aber keine langen Frostperioden. Dieser Baum hier ist schon an die 20 Jahre alt (damals hatte ich ihn zum 1. Mal gesehen) und jetzt an die 7 m hoch.
