Thank you very much Markus. We stayed on Ardnamurchan and did try the long way around once. It was an attractive drive but we stuck to the ferries after that. I love ferries!!

Thank you Pam. Yes this one is for you!! We stayed at Ardnamurchan and used the ferry most days so we saw this most days. I love the ferries, but our cottage was surrounded by trees and the midges got me quite badly!!

A lovely little lighthouse. It doesn't seem much higher than the nearby houses, so if they would have built them closer to the sea, they could have done without the lighthouse ;-) But then you couldn't have taken this beautiful photo of it :-)

We know this lighthouse well, Carol. We have stayed in The Inn at Ardgour several times for short breaks, and the ferry trips were so handy too, Is the boat wreck still there in LocjhLinnhe?

That is good to know Amelia. We stayed in a bungalow surrounded by trees and being close to the water as well it was a prime location for midges. I was bitten quite badly but Roger not at all!!!
I love that little ferry, - you can feel the movement of the water much better than on the big ones. I am not sure about the wreck as it was deteriorating quite badly lst time we were there. I have a photo of it from back when it was still in not too bad a condition, but if we can get back there when we go to Scotland in May I will look!
