Maravilloso Carol, por la fotografía, por esa tarta tan fantástica y, sobre todo, por cumplir Roger en unos minutos su 80 aniversario y ser ambos una pareja tan maravillosa, como longeva, que ambos hasta participáis de la misma afición; la fotografía y en Ipernity. Como yo no sé si hay otra pareja así en esta comunidad, creo que merecéis un premio especial; como mínimo propongo que os nombren la pareja del año. Muchas felicidades a los dos y hoy le toca un poco más a ese escocés que hoy se comerá de esa tarta y espero que lo haga con su atuendo tradicional y falda escocesa. Carol me gustaría ver una fotografía del escocés y luego otra de los dos.

In pre covid years we spent our holidays and as much time as possible in Scotland as we fell in love with it so in my eyes it maKes him an honorary Scot!! Sadly he does not have a kilt to wear but may be persuaded to have a wee dram in celebration. You are right though, we should take photos on this occasion. Thanks again and best wishes Carol

An amazing looking cake! I can't begin to imagine what it's made of. Is it sweet or savoury?. Anyway Happy Birthday to Roger!

It is a traditional rich fruit cake laced with courvoisier and the coo is icing I think - although we haven't had the heart to cut it yet!! It is all edible anyway. I am told every single strand of his hair is hand rolled and it took the lady who made him hours to make.

Thank you very much Amelia. No not yet!! The cake itself is a rich fruit cake laced with courvoisier and the Highland cow took the lovely lady who made him hours to make. Every strand of his hair is hand rolled and he is completely edible - if we have the courage to cut it!! Might have to start at the back!!

Every strand of hair was rolled out by hand, - it took her hours and looks amazing. The only thing late is the tasting - don't think he can bear to cut it!!!

I asked for a Highland cow cake as he loves Scotland and we go back as often as we can, so what better than a traditional Highland cow to put on his cake!! I might gain some extra points if I use your idea though!!
