Bis zu 42 Meter hoch und insgesamt 1.150 Meter lang: Der neue Baumwipfelpfad im oberfränkischen Ebrach. Höhepunkt ist der sich nach oben öffnende kelchförmige Holzturm, den die Wanderer nach ca. zwei Dritteln der Pfadlänge erreichen. Der Pfad windet sich an der Außenseite des Turmes zu einem kreisförmigen Umgang auf der obersten Ebene, der einen Rundumblick in die waldreiche Landschaft des Steigerwaldes ermöglicht. Das Design von Pfad und Turm prägen die Gestaltung der übrigen baulichen Anlagen und Einrichtungen.

Canopy walkways - also called canopy walks, treetop walks or treetop walkways - provide pedestrian access to the forest canopy. Early walkways consisted of bridges between trees in the canopy of a forest; mostly linked up with platforms inside or around the trees. They were originally intended as access to the upper regions of ancient forests for scientists conducting canopy research.
Up to 42 meters high and 1,150 meters long: the new canopy in the Steigerwald nearby Ebrach. The highlight is the upwardly opening cup-shaped wooden tower, which reachs the hikers after about two thirds of the path length. The path winds on the outside of the tower to a circular way to the top level, which allows a panoramic view over the well-forested landscape of the Steigerwald.
