Das ist ein Schrögn oder eine Girta. Solche Zäune widerstehen dem Schneedruck und brauchen deshalb im Winter nicht abgebaut zu werden. Wegen des hohen Holzverbrauchs wurde sie selten gebaut.
Neue Zäune in dieser Art dienen vor allem dazu, Touristen die Illusion einer noch heilen Welt auf den Almen vorzugaukeln. Aber das ist legitim. Die Almbauern haben's schwer genug.

The fence that did not fear snow ... very few left of these in my native mountain valley and not in such good conditions. More and more mountain pastures and woods are getting abandoned and fences are not maintained. A very nice composition, Bernhard.

Dieser Zaun war in der Tat ein Hingucker. Wir sind extra vom Fahrrad abgestiegen, um ihn zu dokumentieren. Irgendwer hat ihn mit viel Liebe aufgestellt.
