Well done considering the way you say. I dont use a remote myself I use the camera I use the self timer(release mode) on 10 sec on this tripod a longer delay may have been better to kill the vibration or even MUP. I also shoot raw and use long exposure NR method but JPEG noise reduction works well if you are shooting JPEG does not effect raw though. I also use Low Level lighting that is on for the whole shot( much like the hut) not light painting gives a better even light. I hope this spurs you to try again my first try where not this good.

I have to agree with Ko no UFO's or Meteors in the shot just a plane dead give away blinking red light in the shot.
