Slice Of Orange ...

This came out of a what you might call a misfire.

I was trying to take a shot of a vase looking down into the open neck and I got the settings terribly wrong, as you can see in the Notes.

However, I kind of like where it lead me ... hope you guys do too!

Probably best viewed large on black if you have time.

EDIT: You might need to close your curtains to see the inset image as anything other than a black rectangle ... not so much a misfire as gone horribly wrong!

Angle your screen.. the ghost image is in there...

Think in terms of darkest brown (nearly black) on black. its there

As I said to Derek above it is in there Wendi, you just need to look very, very carefully! Maybe I was too kind saying it was a misfire, maybe your description is more accurate - lol! ;)

Pleased you like it Graham! As for the curtains, mine are closed even during the day when I'm on the PC as I get to much reflection on the screen for viewing and editing photos to best effect ... the neighbours must wonder what I'm up to! ;)

The original shot of a vase which went horribly wrong is in the Notes, but you might need to look very closely to make it out!
