A breathtakingly beautiful image Gudrun, especially in that lovely sunshine (even though I expect it was freezing)!

I love the contrast between the earthy colours and textures of the landcape and the blue tones of the icebergs and the sky. I especially like the seemingly tiny iceberges on the horizon, they look like the sails of sailing boats.

Thanks very much, Keith! Yes, it was rather cold, but that was good for photos and with the added advantage that there were no more mosquitoes! They can be a real nuisance in summer, people have to cover up in nets...Up close the tiny icebergs would have been huge:-)

They had only a handful of cases and they do have extremely stringent restrictions. You only get in if you have urgent reasons to do so, but then you need a negative test less than 5 days old and taken in a Scandinavian country plus 10 days of quarantine on top! They have to do it that way because their health service is very limited, severe cases would have to be flown to Copenhagen!

I Holzi

Vor vielen Jahren hat mir ein alter Mann den Rat gegeben, alle meine Reisen in Foto und Video festzuhalten. "Wenn du dann mal alt bist und nicht mehr kannst, holst du sie hervor und zehrst davon." Den Rat habe ich mir wirklich zu Herzen genommen... und wenn ich mir diesen Rat momentan so durch den Kopf gehen lasse, muss ich sagen, er hatte recht.

Danke vielmals, Iris! Der Rat war gut, gerade in dieser Zeit ist es Gold wert, in alten Fotos schwelgen zu können und die Fotos helfen der Erinnerung immer wieder auf die Sprünge!
Noch habe ich eine Buchung Grönland für August 21 stehen, aber ich rechne nicht damit, dass das gehen wird, vielleicht 22 oder 23.... Solange sind wir eben geduldig;-)
