Sunset on the Salar

Sunset on the Salar
Sunset clouds over Salar de Uyuni with Volcán Tunapa in the distance. We had a toast with Bolivian wine for the occasion, but the first drop goes to Pachamama as an offering - the ritual is called ch'alla (see inset photo)

Besten Dank, Erhard! War echt klasse- Sonnenuntergang mitten auf dem Salar und die Fahrer haben gefeiert, dass sie 4 Tage ohne Tankstelle und mit übelster Piste gut überstanden haben;-)

Herzlichen Dank, Uwe! Mir auch- ich musste heute in der schlimmsten Hitze zu einem Termin und am Samstag geht das den ganzen Tag.... Immerhin sagt Wetter online für Samstag nur 31 Grad gegenüber 35 morgen....

Danke Volker! Nur das Dunkle links ist ein Gipfel, der sieht hier niedrig aus, ist aber über 5400m hoch! Dort oben verliert man leicht jeden Maßstab... Das Weiße sind Wolken.

Tausend Dank, Dida! Das Salz kannst in in der Kooperative von Colchani kaufen, wird von den Frauen in Tüten gefüllt und mit etwas Jod versehen....So direkt vom Salar habe ich nur mal am Finger probiert;-)
