I prefer the really big view -- type Z then click the representation of a frame at top right), but your preference may vary.

I believe Édifice Dominion Public should should, by Canadian standards, read Édifice Dominion-Public, or, better yet, Édifice fédéral.

The word "Dominion" is pretty much taboo in Canada now (as a vestige of colonial rule) except in the names of the beautiful Dominion Public Buildings that the federal government put up all over the country.

It's rather a lovely building. I like the art deco entrance .

As I understand our Post Office, it's in the unenviable position of being regulated by the Federal government, but does not get any funds from them. They were saddled by a large, unfunded pension liability from the beginning, and are slowly sinking under its weight. I won't go into the politics of the situation, since my views would be rather partisan.

The facade of this one - is it a heavy art-deco? And it looks like London clears its streets well. A virtue much in demand at the moment.

I agree, Jean. In my reply to Joe I mentioned how the federal government for close to a hundred years filled the country with striking buildings. I also provided a link to a complete view of the southern and easten elevations.
