National Museum of Flight (26) - 31 July 2019

Spartan Cruiser III
National Museum of Flight, East Fortune.
This is, perhaps, the most interesting exhibit in the museum's civil aviation hangar. I can't say I'd heard of the Spartan Cruiser; only 17 were built, at East Cowes, Isle of Wight, a location no longer associated with aviation. This fuselage section is from G-ACYK which crashed in 1938 near Largs on a flight from Glasgow to Cambeltown.
