V&A Dundee (1) - 3 August 2019
V&A Dundee, a design museum, designed by the Japanese architect Kengo Kuma opened on 15 September 2018 and is one of several good reasons to visit the Scottish city. I like the building exterior very much but found the irregular slats of the interior incoherent and irritating.
The museum book on the V&A Dundee cites the 'cliffs of (north-eastern) Scotland' as an inspiration for Kuma's design but this view appears to me to be equally evocative of a ship.
