TKTS 360 (6) - 13 April 2018
I have indulged myself with a 360° tour of the TKTS Booth in London's Leicester Square because I like the building and because the backgrounds in an ever changing city are of interest. TKTS has stood on the south side of Leicester Square since 1992. Its predecessor, a smaller hut, was on the west side and opened in 1980 as 'The Half Price Ticket Booth'. The TKTS name was adopted in 2001 emulating the Broadway/Times Square equivalent.
On the west side of the square is Communications House dating from the 1920s but refurbished (completed 2016) and now accommodating office space known as LSQ London (entrance 30 Panton Street). Retail units at street level are as diverse as All Bar One and Lego.
