23 Heddon Street - 12 April 2018
23 Heddon Street, London, W1 is noted as the location of the cover photograph for David Bowie's 1972 album 'The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars'. A plaque was erected there in 2012, forty years after the release of the album and four years before Bowie's untimely death. A lot happens in more than forty years and my subdued pilgrimage today brought me to a spot all but unrecognisable from its 1970s appearance but well documented on the internet.
