Höegh Osaka (11) - 5 January 2015

The vehicle carrier 'Höegh Osaka' went aground on Bramble Bank at around 2130 UTC on 3 January 2015. The vessel was underway from Southampton to Bremerhaven. Its predicament near one of the country's busiest shipping lane drew considerable media and public interest. In today's series, taken from Calshot towards Cowes, the ship is shown both in detail and incidentally to images of that interest. In this shot, a Red Funnel ferry can be scene leaving East Cowes as business continues on the Solent.
