Because farmers can't harvest the wheat or barley as the poppies 'poison' the crop, apparently. Maybe a farmer on ipernity would like to confirm or deny!!

I would get my sister to join ipernity in her own right but she's always busy, busy, busy!

(I know it's an odd word but it has somewhat negative tones in English, which I know you didn't mean!). Anyway, I remember when I was extremely busy and had to lessen my ativity on Pano. Now I don't work but still seem to post fewer shots than I did in those days! Strange to relate!

All I knew of the word Stooge before I used it above was the name of Iggy Pop's famous band! I didn't know it could have a negative connotation ;-) "Sponsor" is perhaps more appropriate, though still inaccurate.
I wish you'll be posting regularly again soon, Andy. I miss my weekly dose of Cornwall!

I haven't been to Cornwall for 4 years for many reasons but mainly Covid restrictions and my health. My parents are in significantly worse health now and I do want to see them this year, if at all possible. But then I doubt if I will be taking photos as I won't be able to drive due to brexit. :o( (my European driving licence expired recently and my health means I won't pass new driving tests both here and in England and so I won't be able to travel to my favourite coastal areas). As my parents live in a small village in the middle of Cornwall and the local bus service has been drastically reduced, I won't be mobile.
