Masdevallia caudata

Masdevallia caudata
In my opinion, one of the most beautiful of the Masdevallias, this species is from Colombia, Venezuela, Peru and Ecuador and is from high elevations. With the caudae or tails the flowers are over six inches (15 cm) tall. There are more pictures both of the plant and flowers at the link below.
