Dendrobium hellwigianum
This is another cool-temperature Dendrobium from the highlands of New Guinea. The flowers bloom down among the pencil-like leaves and this plant had over a hundred flowers the last time it bloomed (actually it is still blooming since the flowers last four to six months). The colors are typical of the Dendrobiums in the Oxyglossum section, bold and in striking combinations.

Brilliantly captured floral subject. Well done Ron. First time to see this particular flower. Regards Tess.
