You know Toz, when I was there, I was thinking what can I do, what is new. As soon as I saw that tall ship, I had to capture it from here but technically it was difficult to balance the exposure on this. I think if I was in Whitby alone, I would be more adventurous but the joy of being with Eileen overrides all consideration. She, is very very tolerable to my photo taking and most often echo's my snapping with her video captures but there are some places and situations that I cannot go :)
In reality, a day there with somebody like you would result in me taking far more photos and of course, much more wasted ones too. I look forward to your version of this, in time.

Two things I would love to see Herb, the old ships and the swing bridge. Weymouth has a bridge that lifts upwards but I have never seen one that swings out. You've packed so much into this shot! Beautifully done. Cheers, Rosa.

Hi Rosa - I am still whetting your appetite for Whitby it seems. Love it that you enjoy my takes so much. This bridge swings in two halves from each side, both independent or together. I have seen it open and I think it opened whilst we were here but I have no photos on this trip. Maybe in my catalogue of past visits maybe. Just one more day of Whitby shots before a change of scenery.
