Town & City
A bride and groom of Dubrovnik
This is what it is like to get married in a busy tourist hot-spot like Dubrovnik. A great place to have your wedding photos taken maybe but one has to not mind the tourist, purposefully kept in full view (including heads-only) here to convey some of the true busyness of this spot.
ps- these steps where featured a great deal in the major series 'Games of Thrones'.
Inner Dubrovnik
The back streets can get pretty hectic here within the old city walls of Dubrovnik. At least one can still get a manicure easy enough :)
Old Dubrovnik
Leaving the tourist and shoppers behind, we see here that parts of old Dubrovnik have a quite calm.
An archway to Cavtat
I must admit to always having a soft-spot for archways. Here we see part of the Croatian village of Cavtat through one.
Kotor
A high view of mostly modern Kotor and its beautiful fjord. To the right here you see the 'Church of health' and just the start of the many steps onward and upwards.
In the bay you can see our way in and out of here.
An 'Advent Calendar' from Manchester
A rather daring attempt to bring the season of Advent into the lives of ordinary Mancunians. 24 of the buildings windows are covered up by a number and is opened up on the appropriate days to reveal a picture.
Playa de Levante, Benidorm
Love it or hate it, Benidorm has something for most people, including me! This is looking North from the Balcon de Mediterraneo. Behind the city-scape is the splendid walking area of the Sierra Helada Natural Park.
I must admit that these building have caused me to have some problems trying to possibly make sure that they were all straight and then correct that. In the end, I just left alone and put it down to my eyes!
An old mill in Oldham
Fence, stairs and grid shadows as seen on one of our local mills. A nostalgic view for all those that have laboured in such places. HFF to all my viewers.
PiP for alternative colour version.
City Bridge
The lifting bridge at Salford Keys, Manchester. A new bridge going over one of the many waterways at these keys, from 'The Lowery Centre' to Imperial Point. A lot of glass around here, hence the interesting reflections too.
Archway into La Vila Joiosa
Even with these joyous pastels, the work must go on. For us, a leisurely stroll through this small town brings us immense pleasure as these colours lightens our mind and souls.

A touch of Spring
Here on the streets of Rouen in France, these tulips vie with the nearby restaurants for attention.
Christmas in Marbella, Spain
As Christmas celebrations begin on this twentieth of December, a bottle of wine to be opened accompanies this beautiful little chapel and Christmas lights.
I wish all my viewers here a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Goodby Singapore
As our ship pirouettes within the main Singapore harbour we wave goodbye to this magnificent city after only a few fleeting hours. This was taken only a short time after a major rain storm. For you technically minded this was taken hand-held on a rocking ship hence the slightly grainy ISO 2000!
A Rouen street scene.
The title says it all. Seen in our city wanderings here.
Very close to the monument and church dedicated to Joan-of-arc, who was burned at the stake here.
ps... Notice the bike on the fenced balcony! A great place indeed.
From Deauville to Trouville
Here I am in the resort of Deuville looking across the river to Trouville. Both are equally as beautiful but a hint of Summer caught my eye.
Ronda and the Puente Nuevo
This gorge (El Tajo), separates the city’s circa-15th-century new town from its old town, dating to Moorish rule. Puente Nuevo, a fabulous stone bridge spanning the gorge, offers sweeping views to the valley below and the distant mountains.
Valletta street scene
This old town sits upon a hill and so there are many streets such as this, making wandering about an arduous process at times. However the reward with such scenes present are evident.
