Memories of Emerald Lake

Reminded of my travels here in the Canadian Rockies just the other night, I was tempted to release another shot of this magnificent lake. It is seated high in the YoHo national Park and believe me, our two hour stay besides this lake was all too short. The wooden buildings provides some accommodation and food for those lucky enough to stay longer.

Keith, we can travel Scotland and then the Alps or other European mountain ranges but when you get to the Rockies, you know you are on an altogether different scale. Thousands of rivers, lakes and peaks with dozens of glaciers thrown in too. This lake from different angles was deep emerald green caused by Glacier powder. One of my other shots here shows the canoes too . A spot never to be forgotten. A landscape photographers paradise indeed. Glad you liked them.
