I love letters in the sand

I love letters in the sand
This week Saturday Sels Challenge: let's concentrate on: "Harmony''

The waves were moving bits of seaweed around with each ebb and flow. This was an 'O' to begin with, but by the time I got the camera ready it had changed into an 'R'.

The waves have beautiful handwriting.............I love the shape of the letter R, it's wonderfully curvy. Well spotted and taken.

A fantastic subject beautifully captured for the challenge, Amelia. A fave for me. The musical choice fits like a glove.

Nicely done, Amelia. In answer to your question about astral photography, I added the following response: "I shot this with a 11-14mm f2.8 lens, manual focus (the really difficult part), at 3200 ISO, 15 second exposure at f2.8 (lens wide open). Because it's night the ND filter would be counter-productive as the settings I used show. The 15 second exposure, of course, requires a tripod." I should add that I was shooting at different settings both with auto white balance and a manually set WB of 3600-4000K. I shot some photos at 30 seconds but one gets some star movement then - a higher ISO and a shorter exposure seemed better.
