It has taken me 5 years to grow this to flowering from seed.
It is one of two surviving plants from a packet of seeds.
A cottage I lived in in England once... had many many Foxgloves and I love them.

The Bradford (ornamental) Pear trees are coming into bloom.
We have madness weather here.. today 86F.. it is supposed to be in the low 40sF
It was also blowing a gale so it was a case of timing it just right !

The racoons will get the Peaches before I do ! I managed to rescue 6 Peaches for me last year. Such is life. What is mine is theirs !
And its down to freezing tonight.. so its in the lap of the gods as to whether we get any Peaches or Pears !

Trumpet Vine

When we were going to move here (6 years ago now on the 15th June) I took a Trumpet Vine pod from the vine at the apartments. I managed to grow on 2 vines and one finally flowered a few days ago !
Its looked upon as an invasive in towns.. but out here its a wild vine seen in the woodland edges. I don't have a problem with it spreading a bit !
