Nel fondovalle di Funes è situato il paese di Santa Maddalena. La sua posizione privilegiata, completata dallo scenario delle vette delle Odle, costituisce un amatissimo
motivo fotografico, tra cui la chiesa ai piedi del Ruefen. Questa sorge proprio nel luogo in cui, secondo la leggenda, il Rio Fopal trascinò a valle, tra le acque, il riflesso miracoloso di Santa Maddalena.

The mountain group in the background is called Odle and in my opinion it is one of the most beautiful Dolomiti mountain.

Val di Funes in my opinion is one of the most beautiful places on Dolomites area.
