Attack of the Hollywood Robots (Explored)
The Sunday Challenge: Forced Perspectives.
The real Robby the Robot was a 7 foot tall creation that made his first appearance in the 1956 film, Forbidden Planet. He later appeared in a number of television series including, Lost in Space and The Addams Family. For more information about Robby, check out en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robby_the_Robot .
This model is less than a foot tall. I posed him near a very large house and used a narrow aperture to get the best depth of field. I also used flash to avoid having the much lighter background overwhelm the subject.

"I know a bank where the wild thyme blows" (Explored)
"I know a bank where the wild thyme blows,
Where oxlips and the nodding violet grows,
Quite over-canopied with luscious woodbine,
With sweet musk-roses and with eglantine:
There sleeps Titania sometime of the night,"
From Act II, Scene 1 of a Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare.
Taken for The Sunday Challenge: Books

Sabbaday Falls - Over the granite (Explored)
Upper portion of Sabbaday Falls, New Hampshire
"The main gorge at Sabbaday Falls was allegedly carved over 10,000 years ago by large volumes of water from the last melting glacier. This water carried with it sand, gravel and boulders, which eventually carved out the gorge. Set inside this gorge are two plunges and a gorgeous punchbowl at the top. "
