Nugget Creek Falls, Juneau
Just outside the Alaska coastal town of Juneau and next to the Mendenhall Glacier. This is in fact the bottom of two falls, each of 99ft (30m) dropping a total height of 115m heigh (377ft). An impressive sight indeed. Judge the height by the size of the people below.

Arrival into Juneau.
Onboard the Holland America Nieuw Amsterdam. Taken from the stern, and yes it was pretty cool even for the end of May.
Fun at the Mendenhall Glacier
The Mendenhall Glacier is a glacier about 13.6 miles long located and in Mendenhall Valley, about 12 miles from downtown Juneau in the southeast area of the U.S. state of Alaska. (Wikipedia)
The unstable world: Margerie Glacier
This magnificent glacier up in glacier Bay, Alaska is shedding its ice continually. This is what glaciers do but this point where the glacier meets the sea is miles inland to what it was just 20 years ago. Frightening! But a delight to witness!
Land of Myths and Legends: Alaska
Seen sailing through the inside passage just around Glacier Bay, Alaska. This is certainly a wild place.
White Pass, Yukon Route train
The little 'Inside Passage' town of Skagway in Alaska is the starting terminus of this very old and famous railroad. The narrow gauge railroad began construction in 1898 during the Klondike Gold Rush as a means of reaching the goldfields. Here we see it returning from those high mountain goldfields with its historical trucks of modern tourist.

Margerie Glacier and the Park ranger vessel.
The size of this glacier comes into some prospective when seen with this boat. It sits between our giant cruise ship and the cascading ice itself, presumably to stop us trying to get too close. You know the captains of these cruise ships will do anything for its passengers to get better photos :)
Alaskan mountains from the 'Inside Passage'
One of the most beautiful waterways in the World with its many views of high mountains were somewhat marred by the very typical wet and misty weather on this trip. Here we see a brief glimpse of the high wild mountains as we enter Glacier Bay.
